It was purchased by the people that own Nolan's and is undergoing renovations. From their FB page

Wow, it’s been closed for a long, long time. Nice facility, not a great location. I think that had a lot to do with their demise.

Cider Press has not been closed for a long long time. They have closed for the winter over the past several years, usually Nov to May, giving Bob and Denise a well deserved rest.. After Bob passed away, Denise continued to operate the restaurant with the same hours and season.

After closing for the season the restaurant sold. (FWIW, Bob and Denise did have the restaurant on the market for some years, even before Bob passed. )

Always loved the dining at the Cider Press, always staying with the lobster bisque.

Yes, up they did have it on the market for a while but he was sick for quite a while too. I don't think location was a problem.

Huh. Drove by many times over the last 3-4 years. Never saw any activity. Probably the wrong time of day.

We ate there once last year and once the year before. We enjoyed it very much both times.

The Town of Wolfeboro has asked Nolans (the owner) to submit an engineered drawing of the existing Septic System so they can confirm it can handle the anticipated volumes.

If the Town approves this then Cider Press can open, however, the opening will be delayed if the Town requires modifications or expansion of the existing system.

Looks like the Cider Press recently had a more formal opening. Curious to know if anyone has eaten there recently and how it was. I plan to go during the holiday break

Default Cider Press resturant

My wife and I had dinner there two weeks ago and it was fantastic. The service was great. The atmosphere was great and the food was excellent. We will be back soon!

Default Dinner at Cider Press 1/31/20

What a beautiful renovation! The owner of Nolan's evidently hired an amazing contractor who gutted the Cider Press interior and made it a very welcoming place. I'd never been inside before last night.

There are copper counters, a copper bar, a lot of wood, homey touches, and just lovely decor touches in all of the rooms with that monster fireplace refitted with a wood stove insert.

Our server was lovely and my husband and I were both pleased with our choices:
he had the wild mushroom risotto, and I picked freshly made linguine with white clam sauce. Nice portions, nice ambience, and we ordered two Bailey's to sit with in front of the fireplace after dinner.

Every Friday night will have live music, and most of the tables were filled at 6:30pm. We'll be returning for sure.
