Default Trail Conditions?

Folks:

I'm headed up to Winni this weekend for some riding. How are the trails north of Wolfeboro? The castle trails for instance? I went last Saturday and it was terrible. Did any of Monday's snow make a difference? I'm looking forward to the pig roast! Thanks in advance.

Default Still need snow

The Castle trail is ok once you get some elevation. The trip up from route 109 is rough. Icy and thin in spots. Do your riding early in the day before much traffic and hope the groomer has gone by. I heard the back side, beyond Shaw, is in good shape. The lake is in good shape. The slush froze solid. There are spots of bare ice, but also small drifts. You can go pretty much anywhere, but can't turn too fast. Nothing that a thick foot wouldn't cure.

Default

the lake has several inches new powder over glare ice. Lower elev trails north are scratchy.
