Default What was the building in Meredith where the Barnzs Cinema is?

Barnzs Cimema was always a building of some sort. I am picking my brain to remember what it has been over the years. My neighbor said it use to be a nursing home back in the 50's or 60's owned by Alice Small?? Then what was it? I gather it was demolished at some point but was probably grandfathered for another business. I grew up in Meredith in the 60's on Pleasant St. but can't remember what was there. Can someone refresh my memory? Thanks, AC

Default Nothing there

There was nothing in the place of the movie theater. The gas station is to the left and closer to the street. The cinema was built on poor soils and my understanding it has settled quite abit over the years. That's what I can remember!!

Better than my thought. Right, I remember it going on poor soils.

Building to left is owned by bank, but I don't think is on the footprint of the Gulf gas station. However, might be!!! Gulf station and repairs; Ken Boucher, who had health issues and passed. I think some cancer took him, maybe 25 or more years ago. His wife has re-married. No names here, I know her.
