access to Varney Islands
I want to kayak around the Varney Islands. My yak is too big to easily shuttle over by power boat. Is Wolfeboro the nearest launch to access the Varneys? Any private launches close by where I might be able to arrange a park & launch?

Great suggestion McDude! Leaving from Robert's Cove via kayak is a great way to go to the Varney Islands.

You could also go to Clark Park in Wolfeboro. It might be a little closer than Robert's Cove.

Google maps shows Clark Point at the end of Clark Road (Mitt's neighborhood) Shown on the map is McKinney Park and described in the Wolfeboro recreation brochure as follows;

That's the one!!! It's at the end of Clark Road which is across from Huggins. The Park is not well known so seldom busy.
