Default I-93 construction

Just a word of warning for those of you that use I-93 North to get to the lake. There is new bridge work being done on 3-4 bridges just before exit 20. They have cut it down to one-lane for a couple of miles. It is bound to cause some major backups on Fridays. Don't know how long they will be there but it looks like it will be awhile since they repainted the traffic lines. Good news is that this good weather must have given them a chance to start a little early.

Best of luck

Went through yesterday. Don't understand why cars are driving only 30 mph in a 55.

They slow down to 55 in a 65 when they see a cop.
Same reason they slow down to gawk at an accident scene.
When you figure out why let the rest of us know

Default It is Northbound as well as Southbound !!!!

Not only is the construction in the northbound lanes, but it is also on the southbound side in the same general area. We got stuck for almost a half hour on Friday night northbound. There was little evidence of any excavation going on...maybe three wheel barrows of material in a pile. On the southbound side, there was nothing going on through Saturday night except a mile or so of barrels blocking one lane and a short stretch of Jersey barriers. This is going to be a real headache in both directions until it gets completed and there isn't a real good alternative. Any idea how long this is going to be under construction.

I found this on NH DOT website, hope it helps.

Interstate 93 in both directions: from after NH 132 to before Exit 20: US 3
construction work, roadway reduced to one lane — until July 26, 2013
Comment: Bureau of Construction project. This project consists of 2.5 miles of pavement rehabilitation and bridge rehabilitation work on 6 bridges in the Town of Northfield. The work begins at mile marker 53.0 and ends at mile marker 56.0. The roadway is reduced to one lane until May 18, 2012, when it will be opened up to the normal two lanes.
