Default Any Suggestions for Island Transport

We are looking to transport a small John Deere Gator to an island in Gilford this weekend. We tried all the obvious ones and they are unable this weekend. Any other suggestions? This can be done on a pontoon style barge. Thanks

Slowly tow it on a swim raft? Chain or strap it down very well and go. Single point tow at boat to two tow points on the raft to keep it straight(er). Just a thought and maybe a silly one.

The swim raft sounds pretty risky... The center of gravity would be pretty high relative to the size of the 'buoy'...

Have you called Dive Winnipesaukee at 603-569-8080? Tom may have a suggestion.

Default pontoon barge option...

Matt Nolan in Meredith has an old pontoon boat that he stripped down and uses as a barge - not sure how to get hold of him directly, but he works out of Y-Landing Marina and they could probably direct you.

enjoy the weekend everyone! -PIG

Swim rafts don't tow well with nothing on them. Putting a gator on one would be disastrous.

Default ... rafting a heavy Chevy!

On the Discovery Channel, a full sized Chevy pickup was rafted 120-miles down the Yukon River on a home-made raft built with tree trunk logs ..... could be a video on this showing how you can do it?
