Thumbs up "ICE OUT" Store in Alton Bay

We made the chilly trip to the lake yesterday and when we were in Alton Bay we saw a store we had not seen/visited before. It is called "Ice Out" and is where the Spencer Hughes RE office had been by the band stand. The store owners are a mother and daughter from Alton and is a "collective of handmade, vintage, retro, refurbished, antique and collectable items." Well worth our visit. as Mrs. JS picked up few decorative things for the house. We will return. www.iceoutnh.com

Looks like a great place. Just the kind of store my wife likes to browse through. Will definitely have to check it out when we're up next.

Great place, been there and will visit again. always great stuff.
Also that is where the Alton Bay Cam was located, wondering if any chance of getting a cam back up and running, it was a popular cam used by many people including fisherman and boaters.

I'm sure there are plenty of us that would chip in to get that cam up and running. It and the Wolfeboro cam were the ones I visited most.

The building is up for sale for $398,000. Ice Out is a tenant and I am not sure they could stay when the building sells so a web cam could have a limited life there. It will all depend on who buys the property.

Default What about Shibley's?

Just wondering if the restaurant would be interested in supporting a webcam? They would have a great view of the bay and bandstand. Sandy Point has been considering installing a webcam also but that would cover the area from the Point looking up the lake toward Echo Point. A webcam nearer the bandstand would be the ideal.

Miss the Alton Bay web cam. I wonder if the Shibleys might be interested in supporting one for the advertising value it would bring?

What about the RR Station building, at the Mount Dock. I believe the Chamber of Commerce is located in the building.
