lake water filter
My home has seasonal town water so its time to switch back to the lake. I was looking for a better filter and came across this site. Installed it a few weeks ago and it works great. Check it out

For non-drinking purposes
Interesting link, but the first thing that caught my attention was this:
These "Custom Built" Lake Water Filters are made specifically for lake water systems for lake property such as lawn irrigation systems and water supply for other non drinking purposes. I hope you noticed this if you are indeed replacing your town water, which I assume you drink. Good luck Dave

I am not sure I would trust that.
I put in a system that was about $1,000. It has a charcoal filter, a sediment filter, and a UV chamber for bacteria. I change the filters and the UV light every spring and it has worked well for 4 years. Two weeks after installing it I had the water tested and it tested drinking water clean. It might be a little more expensive but to me it was well worth it. https://www.freshwatersystems.com/pr...UaAkmAEALw_wcB |

Just to be clear. i don't drink the water and wasn't suggesting this makes it ok to do that. I have a filter set up with two of those cylinder like filters and the ultra violet light. These are inside the house. This unit sits on the lake bottom at the beginning of the system. The filters would get dirty very quickly because I had an inadequate filter in the lake. This replaced that and does a good job of keeping the larger stuff from ever getting to my filters at the house.
