Default Smokin' Stangs Car Show?

How did the show go? I had to work. Did not see any news on it last week and I just remembered it. Good? Bad?

Default We went

I think they thought there was going to be more cars, (me too) we showed up around 1:00 pm Sunday and they might have had 150-175 cars. I was disappointed they didn't have a lot of 60's cars maybe 15 or so. I was also amazed how young the kids were driving the newer Mustangs. They did say at the awards ceremony they wanted to come back so we will see. Not sure how it was Saturday at Funspot.

My car was in the show

Actually I thought is was respectable show for 1st time event. Weather was PURRRRRRFECT. I think officially it was around 230 cars.

Once the 2004 Mustang body came out, popularity in them went way up so that's why you see so many new cars. There were several gorgeous fastbacks and Mach I cars there. If you want rows and rows of late 60s cars go to the show in Carlisle, PA.

If you got there at 1PM you missed out on some cars that left early. There was a GT-40 and a few other rarities.

Keep in mind there were several car shows on Sunday in NH so it spread everyone out. I could not make it but the people who got to do the laps around NHMS all said they had a blast on Saturday.

I suspect Smokin Stangs show will grow each year.

I didn't go to any of the organized events, but there was definitely a lot of Mustangs around the area. Every place we went all weekend, there some nice looking Mustangs. Not a lot of old ones, but a lot of cars.

With a little perseverance, this could turn into a real event. It will take a few years to catch on.
