Default web cams

I love looking at the web cams to see the changes in weather, ice and snow conditions, etc. The one down where the Mount is docked in summer looks like an abstract painting right now, with the patches of ice on the lens starting to melt and swirls of blue sky peaking through.

Oddly beautiful having snow and ice on lens.

Art is one thing. But after this winter all I see is BLUE SUNNY SKIES. Yay!

Thanks Rattlesnake gal for posting the pics....I still haven't figured out how to do that yet. I love looking at the cams every day, it's kind of my "fix" and keeps me going til my next trip up.

Looks like RattlesnakeGal is into Picasso.
This may sound like a dumb question, but does anyone use alternative power to run a webcam on their property through the winter because they turn their regular power off? Maybe for security. Like a battery with a small solar panel?
