Default Missing Votes in Laconia

We go from hearing about a gentleman’s agreement on prime downtown parking spacers to finding votes. The current leadership in the city likes to keep secrets. Wondering who actually runs the city. It doesn’t appear to be the City Council.

It was in the Laconia Daily Sun.

Seems the machine has a compartment to separate ballots that are flawed or have write-ins that need a human to determine the will of the voter.

The www.stvdplaconia.org HAS for $3.00, a plain brown paper bag with about 20-voter, heavy paper ballots, located in their high-end, historical, artistic shelf. It was between an old ashtray advertising Coppertone suntan lotion and a b&w framed photo of Marilyn Monroe doing a hand stand on the Weirs board walk, back in 1955. The bag was wrote 'stolen votes' w/ a black crayon.

Go there on a Tuesday, and get a 30% discount if age 60+ so's it will cost $2.10. ......

the machines have 2 sections in the bottom of the collection box. One for machine counted votes with no write-ins and a second, beside it that collects counted ballots with write-ins. at the end of the night the back of the machine is opened, both bins visible, and the laft side with no write-ins are boxed up. the right side has ballots with write-ins. those are gathered and the write-in votes only are hand counted.

there is a small side bin with a slot on the side for ballots ( usually few, if any) go that need to have all votes hand counted .
