Default Heat (the restaurant)

Has anyone experienced Heat (formerly JT's BBQ)? We went there recently but didn't stay after overhearing seated patrons the wait for food was almost an hour.

We ate there last thursday, were in very early, wife and I both got the Prime Rib, we thought it was excellent, we were there right at about 6pm so it was not busy, we and another family were the only ones there

Default Pizza is good

We've went a couple of times last year and had the pizza. It was good. The owner seems very nice and trying hard to make it work.

Default Not sure if it is the same place we went.

It was under construction, I think. If this is the one right across the road from 'Monkey Trunks' next to Fun Spot, then, YES. We ate there in the middle of August. My crew of 6 were the only ones in the place. Pizza was fantastic. Everyone happy with the food. Tried to play darts while we waited, but they had 18 darts there, but only 2 were not broken. Other than that, it was a good meal.

I like it a lot but it does have that feel of like the place in Road House, I kept waiting for Dalton to walk in the door (but sadly he has passed)

My wife and i looked in the bar to check it out and kind of got a couple of stares like who are you, so we backed off form going in there,
It seems like if you are not there early enough then it would definatley be a biker place later in the evening

Default Heat

AC2717, you're right about the "Roadhouse" atmosphere of the bar. Pre Dalton, that is.

There was some construction going on when we went. We'll give it another try.
