It must be Spring
The horses are losing winter coat by the bucketful, my husband's allergy to them made his eyes swell shut, the little house wren that has a mud nest in the barn (after years under the back deck) was spotted "housecleaning", and we have mud everywhere. White dogs and mud? Big mess!

White dogs
I can relate to the white dogs and mud, as we have 3 dalmations. Fortunately their spots tend to soak up the dirt, so we don't have to wash them that often .
They came in the house on Saturday, and their legs were basically black. Ugh. |

With luck
With luck you both of nice basements where the dogs can go to dry out and drop the Dirt....we always had a nice bed in ours for our Golden so we could send him out to play, get nice and dirty, and then come in go down to a nice bed in the basement and dry off. It wasn't perfect but it worked... just had to sweep up the basement at the end of mud season.... Also gave us time to vaccum all the shedding hair up around the house with out him trying to attack and bark at the vaccum cleaner.....

Don't tell my dog about the basement, we make him jump in the lake real quick!

Basement? Are you kidding? My dogs would have heart failure if they had to go there.
We have grass showing now Dilly says it makes her feel like dancing

The only thing my dogs like about my basement is the litter box. Yuck.
