I had a 2012 SX210. It was OK for a year or so. Engines were great, never an issue. Low speed steering took a lot of getting used to. After the first year, the gremlins came out. Multiple electrical issues. Engine bucket cover misaligned and stuck while driving (no, I didn't hit anything visible). Swim deck started to peel off. It spent more time in the shop than I was willing to take so I traded it in.

All that said, I think I got mine right after a model change and they hadn't worked out all the bugs yet.

I love the jet boats but I had trouble with mine too, cool, so would be too nervous to buy another. I thought maybe they were better now. I had one of the first ones, a little Donzi. Then I had a Sea Doo. I had issues with both of them. The Donzi wouldn't start and the Sea Doo engine blew the first week I got it. Donzi came out with a "fix" for the starting issue but the Donzi boats had trouble in general so I traded it only to lose the engine on the Sea Doo. I gave up on all of them. I think the idea is great though.

Default Yamaha Jet Boats

I have had three of them, all new on this lake. A 2006 SX230 and put 300 hours on it, 2011 240 Limited S for 400 hours, and now a 2017 Limited S E series with over 200 hours so far. The 2006 was the most fun because you could slide it around at full speed and reverse direction pretty much on the length of the boat. The only complaints I have had is the noise of twin high RPM engines although the 2017 is much better, and the poor steering in reverse.
