Default Lochmere question, Please help

We're having a very cool custom map made of the lakes region, for our camp on Cow Island. The initial template shows a town named Lochmere (near Tilton and Sanbornton). I thought that was the name of the Golf Course and not the name of an actual town.

Would someone please help us and clarify this so we get as accurate a map as possible?

Thanks!!!!!

From the Wikpedia website

"Lochmere, New Hampshire

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Coordinates: 43°28′25″N 71°32′26″W

Lochmere is an unincorporated village in the towns of Tilton and Belmont in Belknap County, New Hampshire, in the United States. It is located along U.S. Route 3 and New Hampshire Route 11, which connect the village with Laconia to the northeast and to the center of Tilton and to Franklin to the southwest. It is close to the Winnipesaukee River as it connects the outlet of Winnisquam Lake to the north with Silver Lake to the south.

Lochmere has a separate ZIP code (03252) from the rest of the town of Tilton."

Some towns in NH exist, but don't. That is because they are villages, but over the years the folks just let them slide as towns. You won't find an "Entering the Town of" sign for any of these, but if you ask around, someone will be able to tell you were they begin and end.

Lochmere=Tilton
Penacook=Concord
Georges Mills=Sunapee
Elkins=New London
East Andover=Andover
Gilmanton Iron Works=Gilmanton
Center Barnstead=Barnstead
Loudon Center=Loudon (although this is just a farm and does not encompass any more, it also had its own PO)
Plus many, many more.

These are just a few examples of NH Villages, they mean something to us, so we keep them around. Some of these villages have a different zip code and have PO's, but that is it and some do not have anything outside of their name on a map.

By the way, that sounds like a very cool project. Care to elaborate a little on what the custom aspect might be. Are you focusing only on certain areas or more detail? Very interesting.

Default View from Cow Island

It's probably one of those "view from" pictures.
