Mt. Shaw, Black Snout, Bald Knob hike
Anybody done these areas recently? I did Bald Knob in the fall and it was perfect. I've never done Black Snout or Mt. Shaw on foot. I have two questions for anyone has been in the Ossipees recently. How is the water flow right now? I have hiking boots, however, often times prefer to wear sneakers. The boots will handle wet grounds better than the sneakers. Also, how is the ticks situation up there right now? I'd prefer to wear shorts rather than pants but will adjust accordingly. Any information is greatly appreciate!

Was up there a week ago, and the mosquitos and black flys were just starting to annoy, they will get much worse before they get better. Have fun!
