Default Trail To Salmon Meadow Cove In Moultonboro

Someone told me that the trail to Salmon Meadow Cove has been closed this year. Two big rocks at the end of the trail. I was told in the past this was a club trail to get in and out of Krainwood but the club just has not had the manpower to maintain it.
Anybody know why the trail was closed and if there are any plans for a new trail to access that area?

Do you mean the trail going from near Mobo Neck Rd into Salmon Meadow? I stumbled on that trail this week and made it into the cove. It is probably too narrow and gnarly for groomers to maintain, but there was no rocks blocking the entrance and were signs pointing the way.

Well then that is great news. Guess I had bad information. Thanks for the reply.

Default Salmon Meadow Cove Trail

The Salmon Meadow Trail IS a club trail. I put up the signs back in November. Technically it is wide enough to groom and it will be groomed from time to time but not daily like the major trails. I schedule the feeder trails to get cleaned up for the weekends. Hope this helps
