Default Louie's Pizza in Meredith

Wow, for a place I never even knew existed until just last night, I must say I'm very impressed. It was easily the finest pizza I've had around here.

I've never seen a place be so generous with toppings. No need to order extra-anything, although I'm tempted to see what happens if I do, since there's really no such thing as too much cheese.

Join the club. Pizza is one of my favorite things and after having a place in Moultonboro since 1993 and living here full time since 2000 I finally discovered Louie's this summer thanks to this forum.

Before that I use to take trips to Manchester with the family just for pizza. Heck my daughter and I would drive to Burlington, VT for a ride but mostly good pizza.

Little did I know some of the best pizza I have ever had was right in my backyard the whole time.

Now I am a regular customer and they know me and my wife we visit so frequently.

Anybody that hasn't tried you need to it is great pizza and it has been slow for them since Jackson went out of business.

They are on 104 near the State Liquor Store. Same building as the former Jackson Star Meredith

Default Hard workers

The husband & wife that own this place are such had workers. This couple always seem to be the only one's working there. Their pizza is more of a Greek style pizza as they use cheddar cheese where Italian use mozzerella.

Default My Fav!

Ya this has to be the best pizza around! When my family comes to visit from out of state, that is the first request they have....Go to Louis! I hope this place makes it through this tough time that everyone is having.

Cheddar melts well, but does not stretch, so most pizza makers use a combination of cheddar with mozzarella or provolone.

Unfortunately I can’t eat cheddar cheese due to the aging process of it. It makes my blood pressure go up and gives me a severe headache. My doctor said it is the tyramine that causes this and to stay away from any food that has excess amounts of tyramine.

Thanks for stating that they make their pizza with cheddar! I usually ask, but there is always a chance that I won’t.
