Mink
Those of you that have seen mink around your lake homes know how quick and elusive these little critters are! Well this little guy is a complete ham!! He jumped on my boat from my breakwater dock and let me walk right up to him and take many pictures. He was in my boat because he most likely smelled a fish I had cleaned earlier that morning. I have never ever been able to get such a close look at mink for such a long period of time. We usually just see them out of the corner of our eye very quickly running across the breakwater or the neighbors breakwater. He drives my dog nuts!!
Anyway, here's "Ham" the mink! Dan

I love the way minks move. I've never found them to be super attractive, but they make me laugh when they run

Wow! What a shot!
Wow, what a shot!!! He is a ham!!! We had a mink living near us that drove Mac absolutely nuts! It would even come up to the house and grab mice out of my traps! I learned to tether them with fish line. Lol. I thought I saw one recently, but I really think it was an otter. I Googled the difference and minks have a lot of neck out of the water while swimming. We are only seeing it's head while they are in motion. Three otters swam by early Saturday morning wrestling and playing with each other as they went by. It was so exciting to see! They were too quick to get a picture tho. Thanks for sharing your excellent photo with us!
