Default Vacation Rentals

Not sure where my post went or why it was deleted with no explanation, I'm simply looking for a vacation rental, If i posted in the wrong forum I would like some direction as to where my post is supposed to go, not just to have my post vanish of the face of the earth.

I have, thanks

I find that section is very hard to find specifics cause it has no filters, many listings don't show the rates and many don't list availability in advance. problem becomes even more compounded when you want a place that will allow a pet.

If you can find a landlord that will take a dog - then grab it and grab it quickly.

I will refer to the 1996 Roland V. LeBlanc case in NH court decision:

"A few years ago Carol Roland walked into Ed Van Dorn's law office with a problem. She had been hospitalized after being attacked by a pit bull. Her medical bills were over $30,000 and she didn't have any money or medical insurance to pay them. The owner of the pit bull didn't have any insurance or money either. Later we found out that the landlord of the building where the attack happened knew that there were dangerous pit bulls on the premises but did nothing to remove them or protect tenants and visitors from attack. We contacted the landlords' insurance company and explained we felt the landlord was responsible and should help with compensating our client with her losses. The insurance refused to pay any voluntary settlement so we filed the law suit. Attorney Ed Van Dorn presented the case to the jury and after a 4 day trial in the New Hampshire Federal District Court the jury awarded Carol $2,100,000 as compensation for all her losses.:

Note: The lawyer received 1/3 rd of jury award.

That is why it's sue anyone for anything not matter what is logical or reasonable. Like spilling hot coffee on your lap.

Lawyers love the 1/3 payout.

songkrai, not sure what that link has to do with my situation, I'm looking to rent an affordable cabin/cottage for a week, not an apartment or a condo where other tenants would even be on the premises, also not looking to lease a place, just rent it for a week. An I have a love-able lab not a pit bull

here is a pic of the menace

Default HomeAway.com

I advertise my cottage rental on:
www.HomeAway.com
I have the option of allowing pets by indicating 'pets considered' which then appears in the ad. You can refine your search to include pets allowed.
HomeAway has a huge database of rentals across the US. I have even seen local Real Estate Agency's advertising their rentals on HomeAway.
We no longer allow pets due to a bad experience with one of our renters. Allegedly, the next door neighbors dog attacked the renters dog. Although there is a leash law, a lot of people(including our renters) allow their dogs to roam off their properties. You should be able to find something that will meet your needs.
Good Luck.

The above quotation is from the attorney.

All people think that there dog is different. All dogs are good until there is a problem. The word "dangerous" is from the attorney. It doesn't matter if rental is for a week, month, or year.

If you can find some place that does take a dog then take it.

There are many resources available including Strictly Rentals and Preferred Rentals. Meredith News, Laconia Sun, Laconia Evening News. And many on-line resources.

Years past there were more choices for cabin rentals. Sadly, the cabin has gone the way of the railroad. Still around but few and far between. Most weekly rentals are called homes now. The days of the seasonal cabin are waning.

New Hampshire relies greatly on the property tax. The cities, towns, and now the state. Property taxes are very high for waterfront - which makes seeking a cabin rental for a reasonable cost - few and far between presently.

And note - I do have a dog and I do think that my dog is different.

How far from Berkshire Terrace are you in Wayne? I got people living there and when they come up here the overflow could go to your place - and you would have something in common (Wayne, PA that is).
