Default Flags at Half Mast

I didn't realize until I saw my neighbor lower his flag, but flags are allowed at half mast until 7/25 remembering the Colorado victims.

Another terrible tragedy for Colorado.

Default Its not a rule

A Presidential proclamation has been issued to fly the flag at half staff until July 25, 2012 in Honor of the victims of the Aurora, Colorado shootings.

This probably pertains to Government buildings.

its up to you what you want to do, out of respect we lowered ours.

It sure is, and it seems like the frequency of these rampages is on the increase. It's hard to understand what would inspire anyone to do something like this but how tragic it is that innocent people are killed or injured in a manner like this. I hope the good folks of Colorado throw the book at this nut job and with any luck make him pay with his own pathetic life for what he did.
