Default Tips/recommendations welcome

Happy Spring all,

I'm hopefully going to steal a couple of hours from my work weekend Saturday to wet a line. Typically fishing for a warm water (bass) species, I'd welcome any tips or recommendations for trout/salmon fishing. I'm over in Wolfeboro, the big boat is still dry (I do have access to a canoe) and I have both a spin cast rig and a fly rod (which I've never done more than mess around with).

Thanks for any suggestions.

Enjoy the weather this weekend!

Matt

Paddle the canoe trolling a streamer on your fly rod or a small skinny plug like a Rapala on your spinning rod. A rod holder makes it much easier. Just paddle at a moderate to slow speed following the first drop off. Right in Wolfeboro Bay at the mouth of the Smith is a good place to try. Catching a salmon in a canoe is a lot of fun. Good luck
