Default Looking for my childhood camp

Hello Everyone,

I am looking for my camp that I grew up in as a child. I would love to find it and contact the present owners to see if they rent it out.

The camp was in Meredith, I think off of Old Hubbard Road, in a cove. The camp was close to Sallys Gut and if we looked across the water to the left we could see a lighthouse.

The camp has a huge boulder in the water in front.

When we were growing up there, there was a rock wall in front of the water, now there is a beach.

I was able to locate the camp on Google Earth, however I cannot find the address, so I am unable to write to the owners to see if this is a rental.

Any information provided and I would be most grateful, my family would love to rent it for a week and re live our memories of childhood.

Thanks for your help.

Holly

Default Cummings Cove Area

The lighthouse your are refering to is the Spindle Point Lighthouse and if that was to your left, you were on the westerly facing side of the cove. I remember rental cottages on Quimby road had a big boulder in front of those cabins. Pehaps that was it?

This listing is right near there for reference -

Maybe someone else here may remember more.

Good luck

Yes, that is the area, unfortunately, thats not the camp. Hopefully somebody else will know the exact camp I am looking for. I found it one year by boat, I cannot find it by land.

Thanks

How many years ago was this?

Do you think that this camp may have been torn down for a nice new McMansion?

But parooz the local rental agencies and find out what is similar.

Lightbulb

The place you describe is to the left of that place WL advertised. The driveway is hidden a bit on OHRd, but it's there, in a little ways.

From what you describe, it sounds like Quimby Circle.

If you know the location on Quimby Road from Google maps, then you can match that up with the tax map here:

http://meredithnh.org/Joomla/pdfdocs/taxmaps/U29.PDF

and then look up the owner here:

Default Hemlock Glen

Sounds like Hemlock Glen. There is a massive bolder located at the waterfront. There are about 5-6 small homes in this association. The property does look out at Spindle Point Light House.
