Hello,
Many years ago...like 1987 my mom had met a women from Ossippe that would hand paint photos on pieces of tile.

Her name was Maureen Schacht....Aka BIRCHWIND.

Does anyone know her? Or how to contact?

If the goal is to get a picture on ceramic tile, check Google for:
print photos on ceramic tiles

Many place can print your photo or artwork on tiles, rather then hand painting.
We have a 4x2 set of tiles as a stove back splash of a lake in the mountains (actually Lake Tahoe, but very similar to Winni!)
