Thumbs up Fascinating!

As a summer camp aficionado, I appreciate your post. Isn't it amazing how similar the programs were at the various summer camps? By the way, could you pinpoint the location of Camp Anawan for us? Thank you.

B.I.N.Z. - Meredith/Center Harbor is on the other end of the lake from me so I have no clue where it was. I was hoping a fellow forum poster might be able to give us a clue. When I posted the Camp Belknap brochure I heard from a few alumnus and was hoping that might be the case with Camp Anawan. Anyone?

Default Camp Anawan Location

Camp Anawan was located on Rt. 25 in Meredith, just before the Center Harbor line. It later became St. John's Seminary Summer Camp but I'm not sure of the year. It has since been developed into home sites, now known as Patrician Shores.

Default More Lake History Discovered

jgrif6180 is looking into the history of Patrician Shores and would appreciate any help that could be offered. What he has discovered so far is that Camp Anawan at some point was purchased by the Archdiocese of Boston and used as a summer camp for the seminarians from St. John's Seminary in Brighton, MA and at some later point morphed into Patrician Shores. The association has done a splendid job maintaining/restoring some of the buildings and facilities.

Here's what the chapel looks like today;

and then
