Does anyone know what happened to this boat? Where it might be?

Jack Irwin owns one of the originals. I believe its a 1929 CC triple cockpit. He usually puts it in the water in July. It can be seen in the water at Irwin Marine in Laconia. I saw it there in a slip last summer.

I can't be sure, but I think there were 3 Miss Winnipesaukee speedboats over the years. The modern picture shows an "Upswept" (Foredeck) Chris Craft...everything else looks correct...other than the name is misplaced on the side of the boat.

The Post Card..doesn't look like an "Upswept"...but the angle of the photo might explain the difference. The people I know that do replicas are usually very particular when it comes to "Replicating" the original.

There is one of the originals for sale. It is berthed in Wolfeboro. Another sank at Bouhy #1 at the Weirs was later retrieved by Jim Irwin and some other guy.
Whereabouts not known.
Visit the NH Antique Boat Museum in Wolfeboro for more info. The Miss Winnie boat rides started back in 1928-29, when a young man came home late from a night carousing in a "gift" by his mother or grandmother, a due to his behavior she returned the boat to Irwin's. The name to be placed on the stern was "Restless Knight". As the boat sat at Irwin's (at The Pier at Weirs) someone asked to go for a boat ride and a dock hand replied $1.00 per person. The boat loaded up and off she went. When she returned to the dock another group was waiting, and as Jim Irwin Jr said "the rest is history". I think the fleet grew to six boats before the rides retired in the Sixties. (Not to be confused with The Six T'S) Thats another Chris-Craft story. My brother use to drive the Miss Winni's back in the late 60's. At the time they were touted as the fastest boats on the lake, probably going no more than 45 mph. He said they use to have a predetermined run that took them to a special point on Mark or Timber Island that had a steep drop-off from the shore where they would run full bore toward the island and then turn off at the last minute. He loved to hear the screams from the passengers (no 150 ft rules back then).

One summer night he had his bachelor party under the Gardens where they kept the boats, which I attended. After way too many drinks we got the bright idea to take the Miss Winni out to watch the fireworks off of Weirs beach. Loaded at least 15 - 20 people on the boat and started to head out when, luckily the marine patrol came up to us to "encourage" us back in to the docks. Also luckily my brother knew the patrolman and the patrolman knew the Irwins (Miss Winni owners) so there were no charges, though my brother caught plenty of "ship" from the Irwins the next day. Not too bad though since he was quitting after getting married the next weekend.

Here is what Jack Irwin told me:

We had a total of 12 Miss Winnis. I have one restored. There are two more on Winnipesaukee. One is a rebuilt and the other is a patched up boat that I gave to a friend and I was surprised he was able to get it to float. The one that was rebuilt is the one that blew up in Weirs Bay about 1945. Twenty years ago a guy brought it up. It had burned to the waterline before it sank. A guy with a lot of money had it rebuilt. It must have cost $150K. The motor was taken out by another guy. It was totally rusted out. It was an A120 250HP Chris-Craft. A new motor was put in the rebuilt.

The post card is a C/C 26 Ft flat deck

The is a picture on the front page of the Laconia Citizen taken in front of Irwin Marina of the boat that was salvaged. Circa 1986-1992? I'm sure they can help.
