Default Lily Pond Park - Rte 28 in Alton, anyone recall?

Back in the early '60's, my uncle purchased a property on Rte 28 and Lily Pond Rd. in Alton that was known as "Lily Pond Park", which included a large (and quite old) house that had apparently served as an inn type of operation at one time, along with quite a bit of land including a swimming pond. Apparently it was a tent and trailer camping area prior to his purchasing it. Anyone remember this prior to his purchase? It was sold a couple of years before his death (so about 10 years ago) and split up for development. (
