Channel marine sign
OK Lets see what the popular opinion regarding the Channel Marine sign is. Should it go or stay? Lets hear what you have to say.

I'd like to get that sign for my man town. The new owners seem nice. They gave my kids free ice cream when I was fueling up last weekend. They said they are keeping the pumps open until the bay freezes over....

Personally, I don’t care wether the sign stays or goes...it adds nothing, except maybe nostalgia, to the marina and area in general.
Whatever WOW decides, I’ll be happy with! Well...it does add something...a bigger electric bill for WOW! If their new sign contains neon I suppose it’s a wash for them. |

Should they chose to permanently remove the sign, perhaps donating it to one of the local boating museums or even placing it within their showroom or on their property would be a good gesture for nostalgic purposes. Popular opinion has no say IMO. |

Maybe the Winnipesaukee or NH Boat Museum will take it or some (restaurant) business can use it for "nostalgia deco". I'd like to see it preserved. Isn't NH Boat Museum developing a new location?

Citgo sign in Kenmore Sq....
Fenway Park wouldn't be the same without it. Some signs should stay for the historical importance, but not by force, by choice. The owners can use the old sign for new promotion. Nostalgia sells well, as does history.

It's a piece of history ................ and new owners should be proud to keep it up

I think that they should move it to their location on winnisquam, that way it can be channel marine on lake winnisquam and winnisquam marine on winnipesaukee. makes perfect sense to me...
