Default custom modular home builder

We are looking for a custom modular home builder servicing Carroll County. Anyone have experience with one? Looking for recommendations or information on who not to use.

Default Bensonwood

Out of Walpole NH. They did a number of sustainable homes in the Lakes Region. Owners will be happy to talk to you and provide a tour.

We looked into modular about 3 years ago. Most of the modular sections are built out of state. We discovered this factory in Claremont, NH:
https://preferredbuildings.com/

We went on a factory tour were you can see modules in each stage of construction. They also have display rooms where you can see various finish options. No matter what you decide on, this factory tour would be a good thing to do.

They have a network of local builders. You can meet at the factory to go over house design and options.

In the end we decided not to have a house built but would have gone with this company if we did.

I think most of the modular home builders go over quite a geographic range. Bensonwood was featured on "This Old House" in 17 episodes fall of 2008.
