Default Help! SOS!

We desperately need a plumber in the Moultonborough area to replace a broken shutoff valve for a clothes washer. It’s leaking, and my husband doesn’t want to fool with it. We just moved back into our house after over six months because of water damage in December. Please...no more leaks, no more damage, no more drama! Smitty is too booked to help us. Thanks if you can recommend someone. The plumber who did the renovations is on a family vacation.

We've been happy with Dan Harrington and his son, Tuftonboro:

Might want to look into Rowell’s Services. They are more than just septic services and plumbing is something they say they do. I haven’t used them for that but they seem to be advertising so I’m assuming they have capacity to help you.

Default Rowell's

I'll second Rowell's Services! Great people to deal with!

Maybe try using "Sue Doe-Nym" & company. For instant qualification in this, take a look at this 3-minute video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hg5irf-XXq0

The valve assembly is available for $20 at Aubuchon: https://www.hardwarestore.com/b-and-...SABEgJCr_D_BwE

As the video shows, likely all you need is the valve body and not the included piping connections at the back. The valve body goes onto the existing connections, with the two screws tightened to hold it on. Let us know how you did, how many minutes, etc.

I would just call around and get the first plumber who can respond. This is not a BIG deal to fix.

For the time being you can go to Home Depot's hose department and buy individual shut offs that will screw right on to the old shut off valve until you can find a plumber.

The Sue-Doe Nym Co. got out of the plumbing business years ago! We have had enough experience with the drips! We were lucky....Smitty came through for us, and we are good to go. Thanks to all who gave suggestions.
😎. Good information to have.
