Default Becky’s Garden

When guests visit I like to take them on a boat tour of the lake including a stop to see the tiny house on becky’s garden. Alas, it’s not there this year.. does anyone know who has been doing it all these years and if anything has happened this year?

Island Trivium: on the map at Wolfeboro Inn. Becky’s Garden is labeled as Beggar’s Garden. A former name?

Friends of ours maintain Becky's Garden but they were late arriving this year to their island home. If it's not out already, I'd expect them to put the house out soon.

The house is out as of yesterday as posted on her Facebook page. New house, looks great. Now it feels like summer!

Samiam - hope to meet you at the restaurant during my stay in August. Village Kitchen and Red Hill Dari are our favorites.

Becky's Garden made the Laconia Daily Sun today. Hopefully the link works. I didn't realize Island Services had diversified into small houses.

Hold on,,, are you alleging that someone from Massachusetts invaded NH and captured an island on Winnipesaukee???

I must cry foul!

As a current Massachusetts resident I resent and dispute that claim.

First off, there is no way, no way, any Massachusetts resident could invade NH and capture anything of significance, I feel 100% certain that no MA Governor and/or State Attorney General or any MA official could ever authorize any such action, they are just too damn feeble.

Secondly, as far back as memory serves, Massachusetts has so restricted firearms that virtually any NH resident upon seeing a MASShole attempting an invasion would be able to put the uprising down with a single spitball volley.

And finally, and quite frankly, anyone from MA smart enough to pull off such an accomplishment would not have done it, they would simply have asked for permission to visit the island and offer to bring the beers. As a life long out of state visitor to Winnipesaukee, I have only had wonderful experiences interacting with Winnipesaukee natives. They are the best!

So in closing I speculate and propose that it must surely have been a New Yorker or someone from New Jersey (look closer at the picture for lots of gold bling, thats a sure tip-off), they are a much more aggressive lot and more likely to be disruptive, besides we all know the MA residents were passed out at the NASWA,,, just sayin,,,
