Default WV-Ice Arena-Summer 2013

www.watervillevalley.org and click on recreation - ice arena: For just five dollars plus skate rentals if u need skates; the large, luxurious, huge, ultra high quality, Olympics or professional ice hockey quality indoor, refrigerated, lighted, Muzaked and supervised ice skating rink located on the shore of Corcoran Pond has opened for the summer as of June 28 for recreational ice skating and hockey, figure skating & broom-ball.

Just five dollars.....such a deal.....for one-two hours of recreational ice skating and a terrific way to beat the heat of a 90+ degree heat wave because its like walking inside a huge refrigerator with temps at about 45-degree inside with low humidity. As far as I know, Waterville Valley is the only NH town which owns its own ice arena (situated on the 7-acre large, man-made, cool water Corcoran's Pond with swimmable town beach waterfront no-less; rent a canoe, paddle boat or kayak or just fall asleep on the sandy beach!) and this one is fantastically large and in excellent condition, including especially the super-smooth, Zamboni ice surface; WV summertime home for the SMOOTH ICE!

Cannot stand the summer heat....then this is the place to be .... www.waterville.com ... skating the refrigerated ice arena.

Summer practice rink for the www.saintjohnseadogs.com/ and a number of other Canadian minor league hockey teams, Halifax Hurricanes www.atlantichockeygroup.com ,that show up every Monday on the weekly hockey bus for summer ice hockey training! Come watch them practice! These guys are some good ice-skaters!

................

"I am reluctant to call the ambulance because I cannot afford the bill. What are my options?": quote fom the WV Dept of Safety www.watervillevalley.org EMS-ambulance link; and it is pretty common to see the black & red WV-EMS ambulance going back and forth in the winter between the ski area and the Speare Hospital E.R. in Plymouth, 20-miles away.

If an American ends up in the ambulance going to the E.R. without health insurance ...... as u probably know ..... you are definately in for a huge expensive medical bill....but this is probably not a problem for the Canadians!
