Default All is Well in Alton Bay

Coming home from Laconia last night I drove by the Sandy Point Restaurant and figured surely everyone who was "eating out" had to be there. The parking was bursting at the seams. But than drove by Pop's and both Shibley's and they also were doing very well. JP China had a usual good amount and than cross the bridge to see that the Dockside was booming with patrons, parked on both sides of the street.
Decided that we should swing by the Rusty Moose to see how they are fairing and they had a full parking lot also. So as it is not officially "the season" yet, it is very satisfying to see all is well with Alton and the Bay as the season approaches I wish every business a prosperous and healthy season. They certainly deserve it.

Sandy Point just opened for the season, with new owners, additional items on the menu, and renovations. Dockside also just recently opened. It is early season, but the good weather is making it feel like July

Summer is just around the corner

Thumbs up Sandy Point Restaurant

Sandy Pt. Restaurant is supposed to be open for breakfast, lunch & dinner through Columbus Day. I've heard the menus for breakfast and lunch have been greatly expanded and a few new items are on the dinner menu as well. I hope the new folks have a good first season. Sounds like they're off to a good start if the parking lot was full on Friday night.

Default Big Lake Half-Marathon

I am sure this event attracted most of the folks in Alton. I'm not sure how many have participated, they had 1000 sweatbands on a first come first serve. They were gone in 5 minutes!
