Very nice! A C-130J formation (notice the curved 6-bladed props), likely out of Rhode Island’s 143rd Airlift Wing. The wing converted from C-130E models to the J in the 2005 to 2007 time frame.

I saw this, too! I was looking down towards Squam from the top of College road and saw a large 4 prop plane seemingly lower than Rattlesnake(s)! Scared me for a minute - but I didn't hear anything so I figured it was OK... Illusion that it was going too slow to stay in the air! Glad I found your post.
