Default Kona Inn Moultonboro?

Does anyone know if the Kona inn is still open? I know it was for sale a year or two and their website is pretty generic.

I live down the road from the Kona, and yes it's open. I've seen many cars exiting from there this summer. Not sure when they'll close up!

Default Kona Mansion Inn

It's open. Not like the old days though. Used to be one of the premier dining experiences. We could go there by boat and be met at the dock and transported up to the Inn.

My husband and I had our wedding reception at the Kona Mansion Inn in 1987. We had a fabulous time!

Default Kona Carriage House

Belknap College students use to stay there during the winter. I use to spend a few weekends there. It was cold and drafty.

Is the Carriage House still used for boarding?

I am pretty sure the carriage house has been converted to apartments.

An historic and remarkable property with nearly 90 acres consists of three lots of record. The first is the Kona boathouse, a residence with living quarters with four bedrooms. The second lot is the Kona beach with twenty boatslips. The third is the Mansion with 37 guest rooms, dining room and convention area. It includes a nine hole golf course, tennis courts, rolling lawns and seven additional cottages. Location is one of the finest areas on Lake Winnipesaukee. Many refer to it as the ?Gold Coast?. The opportunities this property affords are unlimited. Continue to operate as an inn, if desired. Develop it into a private estate, or develop it into individual home sites. Engineering is available. This is clearly a one of a kind property in a fabulous location. Properties include 50 Jacobs Road, Book 0467, Page 0088; 48 Boathouse Road, Book 0497, Page 0092; 62 Boathouse Road, Book 1514, Page 0507.

Default Carriage House

Whatever happen to the carriage house? During the Belknap College years it served as an off campus dorm. At the time it was slowly running into disrepair with leaking roofs. There were some carriages left as well as stable supplies.

They are apartments now. Our place is around the corner from them. I think they have done some work on them the last few years (at least the outside anyway).
