Default Weirs Howard Johnsons

Just finished reading a great article about Ho Jo's at the Weirs, been there many times as a kid in the late fifties & sixties and thru the seventies. Reading this article brought back many pleasant memories of the Weirs growing up. I live in Alton now and still visit the Weirs occassionaly but it just does not "do it" for me like it use too.
Here is a link to the article in the Weirs Times, enjoy!

Default Weirs Beach Howard Johnson's

An interesting historical article about the Howard Johnson's in Weirs Beach can be found on the website Americas Landmark: Under the Orange Roof. This website also features a complete listing of HoJos in NH, as well as the across the rest of the USA. Required reading for Howard Johnson's fans!

Default Howard Johnsons

Read with interest your memories of Howard Johnsons at the Weirs.I was never a huge fan but as luck would have it I had a friend with me who was new to the area.We were taking a sea plane ride the day it burned down. We got some great shots of the fire! I will try to find them and post them. Don't get me wrong, fire is a terrible thing, But the photography is excellent.
