Default Model Train display Laconia

Picked up some prime ribeye’s for dinner at the Local Provisions (622 Main Street) in Laconia today and my son said there looked to be a neat store (Blooms Variety) across the street. So off we went and wow, did not expect such a large store (think America Pickers). Both at the entry and upstairs they had some nice Holiday train displays. The train engineer running the display was getting as much enjoyment out of the kids as they were out of the models. Took a few photos to share…

Default Model RR

Great pics. Is this open year round? We love Clickety Clack in Wolfeboro, but larger scale could be fun too.

I believe they stay up all the time but only run at specified times. There was a sign on the front door that they would be running over the holidays. However I would suggest if anyone is making a trip just to see them to call and confirm the times. I did a quick search and came up with the link below. There were other links talking about the store and its history. As I indicated we just happened to run across the store and it was the first time for us.

You might also enjoy the Heritage Park Railroad Museum with a 1909 B&M Railroad Model in Union (Wakefield), NH. (Now closed for the season) You can tour an original wood Bangor and Aroostook snowplow last used by the Wolfeboro Railroad.

Default Love this place...

Also found it while going to Local Provisions.

I believe they only run the trains on Saturday at 1pm.
