Default Drivers beware of loose buffalo on NH bypass

This explains the large police presence I saw on the bypass around 2:30 PM

GILFORD — The Gilford Police Department is asking drivers to beware of buffalo loose on the road after they escaped from a farm on Morrill Street.

The buffalo were seen in the area of the Route 3/11 Bypass and Route 11A. People in the area are asked to drive safely.

"The buffalo are scared and running so please don't approach them or blow car horns as it startles them," the police department said.

Members of the Gilford and Laconia Police Departments are attempting to herd the large animals.

Well not all the way from the great planes. The farm is on Morrill St, about 1/4 mile from the bypass.
