Default Lakers Are Hitting Hard Right Now

If you've never caught a cold water fish on Winni, now would be the time to give it a go. The last 2 weeks I've gone out with my buddy and we've been able to hook up double digit lakers in a few hours of trolling with downriggers at 100'. They're deep right now but if you can get down there you can have fun! Of course all fish were released to be caught another day.

I'm using Top Guns from AJ's in Meredith. He'll hook you up.

Default Lakers

Harvest those lake trout, too many in winni, reducing the salmon and rainbow populations. They all compete for same food and I've been saying for many years too many lake trout, and now these rock bass are eating everything too!

I agree!
Same thing on Newfound....the lakers are small, skinny, and numerous...too many catch and release. Fish and game even lowered the size limit there because there are too many lakers. People still throw them back.
