Default Has Anyone Seen Any Bears Yet?

We have been waiting for our resident bears to show-up again this year? Has anyone seen any yet around the lakes region?

Default Not one

You would think they were taking over the state with all the news about bringing in bird feeders and all. We live in the middle of hundreds of acres of undeveloped land with turkeys, coyotes, deer, moose, porcupines and all the other little critters that go along, but no bear.
The local flock of turkeys is right outside making a racket right now.
It might be the 3 Jack Russell’s and one beagle that keep them from coming to visit.

Actually one of our local bear's returned today. He was very large. He took down two bird feeders. All but one of our feeders will be removed from our yard tomorrow. We will even have to take one down from our second floor deck. An individual bear has been known to stand on the railing of our lower deck and then climb up the side of our house to the upper deck. The only feeder can keep up is one on an upper deck that cannot be reached from a lower deck railing. We usually see a mother bear with her cubs every spring. We hope they come around soon.
