Default Geese

I know we've talked about the geese in previous years in various threads, but wondered if others have had a problem this year.

The owner of the rental property we're renting for 5 weeks beginning next weekend sent us an email saying he's having a problem with the geese coming onto his lawn this year. The property is located on Swallow Point Road off Moultonboro Neck Road. Last year we'd see them off shore and heard them honking at dawn but never had them on the lawn. Just wondered if others are seeing them more this year than in previous years. Can't imagine the geese would want to come near the cottage when they see and hear the 4 kids we'll have running around and swimming all day

Default they are there, allright...

Just came home from 4 nights on Swallow Point, and the geese were definitely around. Saw three adults and several small ones float by a few times in a pack. The two dogs on site kept them from coming onto the lawn, but in the early mornings we had ducks and a merganser on the beach and dock. No problems with the water, no duck itch, so far.........

They carpet bomb the beach and surrounding areas if you know what I mean. We fence them out, little wire garden type 1 foot tall works well. Supposedly there is a program where they will capture them if they are a nuisance and bring them to a farm far away, ;>) again, if you know what I mean.
