Cool Mike Swims 1/2 Winnipesaukee

Hello Winnipesaukee People: I'm baaaaack.....Due to my accident on Feb 26th I didn't think that I would be able to walk, never mind swim, but my rehab went so well that I will be swimming from Glendale to Moultonboro Neck/ Long Island on August 8th. Leaving Glendale between 7 - 8 a.m. Any volunteers with or without boats come on by.. Next year, 22 miles. Mike

Default Good Luck

Mike, glad to hear your rehab went so well.

Do you have any suggestions or protocol for those of us "sightseeing" by boat who may want to swing by and show our support? I imagine you don't want our wake or exhaust and I would guess you'll be too busy to stop and wave at us. So, what would be the proper way to show our support? How can we keep out of your way and still say "hi"?

You are to be congratulated on your outstanding effort. Good luck.

Default Amputee planning 6.5-mile swim

There is an article in the Citizen today about Mike.

Mike- If there is anything that people can do to help, please let us know.

Where in Gilford are you starting, and where on Long Island will you finish?

Good luck!

Thanks for all your replies. Please come to the start in Glendale or the finish at Long Island Neck in Moltonboro. It's okay to say "hi" from a distance. I appreciate your support. Donations can be made to PMC 1-800 WeCycle in re: Mike Welsch winnipesaukee swim. See you then...
