Thanks for posting this. I was at New Hampton during the years mentioned in the article when prep basketball started taking off. As a local kid, seeing that level of talent on a daily basis was impressive.

The article asks the question, "How did a sleepy academy in a rural New England town spawn the best high school basketball team in the country?"
Answer: The recruited kids and gave them full scholarships and a stipend to live on..... Just like the NBA or any other professional sport. Why would anyone be surprised that the team is great? I'm not being sour or cross about this, just don't understand the "hype". Show me a local high school that is winning and I'll jump on that band wagon. |
