Default Jelly Worm from the lake

Can anyone identify this creature?

I found a glob of jelly on the bottom of a canoe, and upon closer inspection it was a clear worm of some kind, with a light green helix extending down through it like a small light green slinky 1/3cm in diameter. The "worm"was about 3 to 4 inches long, and about 1 cm in diameter. No movement at all.

Not sure if a picture would help, but do you have one?
