Spring Launch Form!
Holla!!! I just got in my spring launch form from Melvin Village Marina and I'm getting pumped to get out there. It sure would be nice if we could be at camp now, but May 1st will be here soon enough.
When do y'all storing boats at marinas take your boats out? I usually take it the first or second weekend of May, which MVM says is always slow. Sent from my SM-G950U using Winnipesaukee Forum mobile app |

We were just told that MA schools will be closed until May 4th. I literally will have my boat in the water before I return to school. I feel terrible for my seniors.

Just got an email from Irwin Marine saying they were closing down till April 6th...I guess if you want your boat before then, your out of luck.

https://www.irwinmarine.com/ They are in Alton and on Union Avenue in Laconia. They manage Mountain View Yacht Club along with other facilities on the lake. |

I also don't know where Mountain View Yacht Club is—would you believe that? OMG!

I just Google mapped it—that's the one across from Parafunalia! I know that place because it's in my budget! In six years we've owned at the lake, we've only ever driven that road a few times. I'm only ever over there on my boat or to hike the Belknaps. I still don't know much of what's in my neck of the woods because we go to camp and hang with our friends there. The horror of not knowing everything on the lake! Sent from my SM-G950U using Winnipesaukee Forum mobile app |

Mvyc ?
The tape recording at MVYC says leave voice mail, we'll call back, which is typical at this time of year. No email saying we're closed. I talked to a nearby vendor who was supposed to do some specialty work. He says he can't get to the boat because Irwin at MVYC is closed, and we need Irwin's hydraulic flatbed to pick up and deliver the boat to his shop.

Why doesn't he call a different company with a hydraulic trailer?

We're Open
A recent email from Fay's Boat Yard indicates that they are open; "social" caution is requested. 🐻

I have used Irwin's Alton location for both snowmobile, and boat repair/service in the past and they have been great to deal with.

Hey, y'all might be proud of me! I took a few extra minutes to drive through Laconia yesterday so's I could get a good look at this Irwin's place—it's sizable (if not decrepit) for sure!
WOW! How could I have not known where it was before?! (Theory: I didn't much care since I had no need of it, nor was it in my normal travel area). Sent from my SM-G950U using Winnipesaukee Forum mobile app |

Sports and Marine Parafunalia in Gilford is usually my go to place for boating stuff.
Their site says they are online only for now due to, well, you know. Here's a link to their site: https://www.parafunalia.com/ |

We traded our '06 Bayliner bowrider for a 2012 24' Xcursion (Forest River) tritoon from Irwin's at the end of October. Got the same email that they're closed. We do summer and winter storage at Andrew's at Minge Cove. They are also closed but plan to begin limited work after ice-out. Only essential work will be done at that time, oil changes, tune-ups, etc. I think most boaters will be effected in some way this year, at least at the start of the season.

I know you are excited, but you already started two threads on jet ski accessories. Please give it a rest.

Now that insulting remark is very demonstrative of your character. I will do what I want when I want to, including calling you out on these endless posts about jet skis. Continue to post about them all you want and accept positive and negative responses, or block those who are negative.
Sorry, not going away. |

If I have a question, or if I'm interested in others' opinions, I'm going to post about it (clearly)! So, any suggestions on launching early (given others have posted useful stuff) or my new jetski? Or do you just need a hug? Sent from my SM-G950U using Winnipesaukee Forum mobile app |
