Default I'm Looking To Volunteer...

...I tried Meals On Wheels last year and they didn't need any extra help.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

I'll volunteer at an old age home, vet's office, senior center, animal shelter, etc.

Thanks in advance!!!

Default Community Caregivers

Hi
Try contacting Community Caregivers - their office is in Center Harbor, but they serve many communities around the Lakes Region. Carol Gerken is the Executive Director, she used to run the Senior Center at the Mereidth Community Center. I also suggest contacting Christine Faller at Golden View... they would probably welcome folks offering to assist some of their patients.

Good for you.

Friends of ours volunteered here in the past:
St Vincent De Paul Society
1269 Union Avenue, Laconia, NH 03246-2124 (603) 524-5470 ‎

You could also try the AARP site, enter a local zip code.

Default Thank you!!!

You may want to consider Lakes Region General Hospital (524-3211). They're always looking for volunteers and have quite a nice team of folks there who help out. I don't know where we'd be without our volunteers!!

Definitely a humane society somewhere. Nobody ever thinks of the animals and in these times it gets even worse.

Good idea dpg, there is one in Laconia and they depend on volunteers:

lake Region Humane Society located in Ossipee is desperate for volunteers. I am on the Board of Irectors and Board members have been working at the shelter in recent weeks. We're short on both staff and volunteers.
