Default Never Forget 9/11

Today marks the 19th anniversary of 9/11/2001.....a very dark day for Americans everywhere. Regardless of political views or opinions, please take a moment to privately reflect on this event and remember the brave innocent soles lost on that day from a terrible attack on the homeland. May they all rest in eternal peace. And may we comfort their survivors and the brave first responders who have had to bear the memories of such a tragic event. They are in our thoughts and prayers.

I am so very sorry. I will never forget this day. My daughter was going to college in Washington DC and she called and told me to turn on the TV.

A very good friend of hers was on his way to class and had been trained as a paramedic and raced towards the Pentagon when he saw it explode into flames. He so badly wanted to save someone and all he kept doing with was taking out dead bodies. He decided he should go to New York City and help up there. He has been disabled now for many years with breathing problems. Such a wonderful kid he is!
We lived in Middletown, New Jersey. Outside of New York, Middletown had the largest number of people who died because many worked and were recruited and told to live in Middletown, New Jersey.
It was just beyond horrible.

September 11th, 2001 and December 7th, 1941 are both very dark days in history, days which we never seem to forget.

Without a doubt, the national news will bring this up all over again today and most of us will have to relive it.

I always take the time to observe a moment of silence.

Are you referring to the “unconditional surrender“ statue in Sarasota?

They weren't going to remove it. Just relocate it. But, moot point. It's staying where it is.

Now back to your regularly scheduled program!
