What you say on the Forum, may not stay on the forum

I wonder
In general, does a writer have to get permission to quote from this or any other "forum" ?

Of course they do, Steve. It's a public forum, not a closed one, and all people/sources are properly credited in the article.
If you can find it in a Google search, you can write a story about it - just give proper credit from the sources. |

AW and RG
Thanks.. I think
The general rule I was asking about would be: As long as you give credit to the person and/or source, anything on a "public" forum is fair game. Right? I was confused by the first statement in your reply "Of course they do, Steve." (Argie's Wife) My question was "In general, does a writer have to get permission to quote from this or any other "forum" ? " So, your response confused me just a little... but I get it now... honest. Maybe we could blow this into a S/L or Restaurant Review type debate? Kidding, just Kidding!
