Belknap Mountain bright light
At about 7:00 pm tonight I saw a very bright light coming from the very top of Belknap Mountain. It was not coming from the tower. I have a great view of Belknap from my house so I see the mountain all the time. This was very unusual. Admittedly I did have a Tennessee Fire going but it was my first. Did anyone else happen to see it? Anyone have any idea what it was.

Time to Reflect
From our location on East Bear Island, we frequently see intense bright spots around the lake, on islands, and on distant hills and mountains as the setting sun is reflected off distant windows. 🐻

Maybe, that did occur to me as a 1st guess. Having been up there many times, not sure that any building is visible from the east (lake side). I think that there is a building to house the comm gear but it may be low in the trees and set back to the west.

Again tonight...
OK, so it happened again tonight at the same time. So I am sold this is a reflection of some kind. It surprises me that 4 years of looking at the mountain I've never noticed it before. Did they build a new building up there?
