Not the fanciest place around but the food is very good and reasonably priced.

Default Thumbs up

Been going there for years. Love the chicken Pot Pie and their beans.
Place gets crowed on weekends.

Default Meredith Eats

Georges for breakfast, Lakeside for lunch, Frog Rock for dinner. Support local business as McLear sold out to a national corp.

I was wondering about this. I, also, prefer local mom-and-pops to chains. What are the businesses affected by the sale?

I believe it was all 3 hotels that were sold. Mills Falls, Bay Point and Church Landing. Not the restaurants in these hotels. They are still owned by Common Man which of course is as local however definitely not a mom and pop.

I wonder if the owner of Georges still lives in town? He bought a piece of property off me 30 years ago, 22 acres with 100 ft waterfront, and built a beautiful home on Lake Winnisquam that looked down the whole length of the lake. It was not long after that he opened up Georges. He was a contractor when he bought my property.
He just sold it about 6 months ago.

at the Meredith Mobil have always been the cheapest in the area. Probably because Rusty's personal vehicle requires premium.

They make a great sandwich there also. If you're visiting by boat and you want to grab something to eat on the water rather than wait for a seat at one of the restaurants.

While located inside the shops at Mill Falls, Giuseppes is also a locally-owned family business and very deserving of a visit.
